AEO
Answer Engine Optimization: structuring content to directly answer questions.
AEO structures content so that specific questions have specific, extractable answers — useful for featured snippets, voice search and AI answer boxes alike.
Question research starts from how people actually phrase questions — often longer and more conversational than typical keyword searches — then structures content so each distinct question gets a direct, complete answer close to where the question is asked.
FAQ and Q&A schema make that structure explicit to search engines, which is part of what qualifies content for featured snippets, People Also Ask boxes, and voice-assistant answers — though, as with any schema, it documents structure that must already exist in the content, not invent it.
This is not about stuffing a page with question headers — content that ignores flow to chase every possible question format usually reads badly and converts worse. The goal is answering the questions your actual audience asks, in the order they would ask them.

FAQ
Does AEO replace normal content writing?
No — it is a formatting and structuring discipline layered on top of genuinely useful content, not a substitute for it.
Is this only relevant for FAQ pages?
No — AEO applies to any content that could answer a specific question, which in practice is most content on the site, not just a dedicated FAQ section.
